Rebecca Garrity

I joined the Litigation Department at WTW Solicitors in December 2018, having worked on Litigation and Personal Injury cases with other firms for over 7 years.

Litigation & Disputes

I work closely with Michael Bower dealing with:

  • Equine related matters and disputes;
  • general civil matters and disputes;
  • Personal Injury claims (Road traffic accidents, Slipping/tripping accidents, Public liability and Accidents at Work).

I offer both prospective and existing clients an experienced opinion on the prospects of success on a wide variety of disputes.

  • This ensures that you only incur legal expense when necessary and ensure that the work done is efficiently and in the most cost-effective manner.
  • On matters that attract a fixed fee, we offer very competitive rates and the fee is always agreed in advance.

Equine Law

This area of law is one of the things that really attracted me to WTW Solicitors. Having been involved with horses most of my life, I have an in-depth knowledge of the issues that can arise and the ability to use applicable laws. This also means that I have a clear understanding of the time, money and emotion that is invested by horse owners/riders into their animals.

Personal Injury

Personal Injury cases are offered on a “no win no fee” basis. where any success fee is negotiated and agreed at the outset, based on the merits of the individual case. We do not have a policy where the maximum 25% is charged as standard – if you have been injured and are seeking to pursue a claim for Personal Injury please get in touch with myself or Lisa Wood, who is a very experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor, to discuss this further.

Interests

During my spare time I enjoy horse riding, going to the gym, running, walks and bike rides with my husband and children.

I am a keen horse rider, having ridden since the age of 6 years old. For most of my life I have been lucky enough to have my own horses and I enjoy helping friends with theirs. My love of horses is something that I am very keen to pass onto my own children.

Although I no longer have my own horses, I still ride regularly and live on a working farm on the Lancashire/North Yorkshire border which enables me to spend plenty of time outdoors.
