I am currently working on my training program with a view to qualifying as a solicitor. I am becoming more involved in dealing with a range of legal matters within the Litigation & Disputes Department
A typical day consists of:
- Dealing with potential clients on the telephone and face to face.
- Taking initial instructions and brief background details from a client.
- Arranging convenient appointments for clients.
- Creating files for clients and entering information into our Case Management System to ensure continuity of correspondence and documentation.
- Typing letters, statements, documentation and file notes.
- Taking messages from clients and other solicitors via email and post.
- Advising clients of any updates or progress on their individual cases.
- Ensuring all client files and correspondence are kept tidy and in chronological order.
- Providing reception cover during lunch breaks and holiday periods.
- Plus covering reception and dealing with any other administration tasks the business requires.

- Third Party Motor claims high volume caseload, typically an allocation of around 220 RTA claims.
- Dealing with Third Party vehicle damage repairs and agreeing Engineers Reports
- Monitoring Third Party credit hire periods and agreeing to the terms within the ABI credit hire agreement.
- Claims license value of £15,000 and I also dealt with high net worth claims up to a £100,000 on a daily basis under supervision.

- Dealing with ER matter at a workplace with over 1000 employees

Interview and advised members on employee relations - Disciplinary and grievance hearings (over 100 cases)
