As part of the support team at Waddington Turner Wall I deal with potential and existing clients on reception. A key part of my role is to provide administrative and client care support to business.

A typical day consists of:

  • Dealing with potential clients on the telephone and face to face.
  • Taking initial instructions and brief backgrounds of a client’s or clients’ situation.
  • Arranging convenient appointments for clients.
  • Creating files for clients and entering information onto our Client Management System to ensure continuity of correspondence and documentation.
  • Typing letters/statements/documentation/attendance records and file notes from digital dictation.
  • Taking messages from clients and ensuring that they are relayed to the appropriate fee earner.
  • Corresponding with clients and other solicitors via email and post.
  • Advising clients of any updates or progress on their individual cases.
  • Ensuring all client files and correspondence are kept tidy and in chronological order.
  • Preparing large bundles for Court Hearings.
  • Plus all the usual secretarial duties!
