I joined the conveyancing team at WTW Solicitors in August 2022. I have worked in a number of conveyancing firms acting on behalf of both clients and mortgage lenders in West Yorkshire, having worked my way up from an office junior to a receptionist, a legal assistant, a property paralegal and now a Chartered Legal Executive.

My role is to help clients with:

residential/house sales,
residential/house purchases,
mortgage providers,
transfers of equity, and
remortgages.

To become a Fellow of the Chartered Legal Executive (CLE) you have to demonstrate that you can meet the knowledge and education standards of CILEX Regulation and you must have completed a minimum of 2,300 hours of qualifying legal experience.

A typical day will consist of:

Dealing with new and existing clients.
Taking instructions for property purchases & sales.
Sales & Purchases include Leasehold, Freehold, Registered and Unregistered land.
Preparing sale contracts.
Investigating and checking property titles.
Pre-contract searches.
Transfer Deeds.
Dealing with the mortgage providers.
Accounting & invoicing transactions.
Inland Revenue & Land Registry documentation.
