Ellie Rumney

I joined Waddington Turner Wall Solicitors in September of 2025 after graduating from Leeds Beckett University with a Law and Criminology degree. I am excited to begin my legal career with the company and plan to continue my development here by undertaking the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) in 2026/27.

I am currently enjoying my role within the Wills, Probate and Later Life Planning department. The supportive team and the practical nature of the work have strengthened my interest in helping clients navigate important life decisions. This role has shown me the value of proper planning and inspired me to help clients understand their rights and secure their future, through Wills, LPAs, and other later-life planning options.

Alongside my studies I gained experience as Support Worker within the criminal justice system. This equipped me with the resilience, empathy and communication skills essential for this role. This foundation has reinforced my commitment to standing up for what is right and putting people’s best interests at the heart of my work. I’m enjoying the journey, shifting from a criminology‑based background to hands‑on legal practice as I delve further into my passion for law.

I look forward to expanding my expertise across new areas of law and continuing to grow within Waddington Turner Wall.
